Jimmy Meets The Mob

Jimmy Viceno isn’t exactly living the dream. Unless your dream is washing dishes, crashing on your brother’s couch, and stretching eighty-seven bucks like it’s a Michelin-starred meal. Still, Jimmy believes good things happen to people who keep trying. Then one night, luck finally knocks — or so he thinks.

Machiavelli’s Ristorante Italiano isn’t just another neighborhood joint. The pay is incredible, the tips flow like wine, and the boss insists everyone is “family.” Jimmy’s new job comes with “specialty deliveries” — boxes of organic “supplements” and “molecular gastronomy compounds” dropped off at warehouses, back alleys, and very nervous-looking customers with thick accents and thicker envelopes of cash. But this is San Diego, land of craft beer and overpriced kombucha. Who wouldn’t pay a premium for something “all-natural”?

Too bad nobody told Jimmy he’s been recruited by the Chicago mob.

As the deliveries pile up and the FBI closes in, Jimmy’s optimism remains bulletproof. He’s convinced everything will work out fine — despite the packages getting heavier, the warehouses sketchier, and the customers looking like they stepped out of a mob documentary. His comic-book alter ego, Rat Boy, tries to warn him at every turn, but Jimmy’s superpower is ignoring good advice.

It takes a federal raid, twenty pounds of “wellness supplements” that definitely aren’t vitamins, and a very patient Agent Rodriguez to make Jimmy realize that maybe, just maybe, he’s not in the organic food business after all.

Jimmy Meets the Mob is a laugh-out-loud crime comedy about eternal optimism colliding with organized crime. Packed with absurd situations, clueless confidence, and the occasional criminal conspiracy, it’s perfect for fans of Carl Hiaasen, Christopher Moore, and anyone who’s ever wondered how the mob finds such gullible employees.

The first in a series of standalone Jimmy Viceno novels, where good intentions meet bad decisions in the most entertaining ways possible.

Jimmy Meets The Democracy

Meet Jimmy Viceno: unemployed, eternally optimistic, and convinced that every problem can be solved through better customer service and comprehensive strategic analysis. When a routine trip to the DMV leads to accidentally signing a petition, Jimmy finds himself running for Congress—and treating his campaign like the ultimate business consulting project.

While Jimmy develops PowerPoint presentations for political debates and tries to implement customer satisfaction surveys for voters, his comic book alter-ego Rat Boy desperately attempts to explain how democracy actually works. But Jimmy's too busy optimizing "stakeholder engagement protocols" and providing "civic process enhancement consulting" to notice he's accidentally disrupting local politics in ways that would make the Founding Fathers reach for antacids.

A political satire for anyone who's ever wondered what would happen if the most helpful person in America decided to fix government through enthusiasm, business jargon, and complete misunderstanding of how anything actually works.

Jimmy Viceno is back, and democracy will never recover.

Book 2 in the Jimmy Viceno series - can be read as a standalone

There Goes The Neighborhood

Suburbia was supposed to be safe. Predictable. Ordinary. For Sean Perkins, a technical writer who thrives on order, that’s exactly how life had been—until Tank moved in.

Tank is a conspiracy-theorist veteran who practices his self-invented martial art (“Tank-Quan-Doh”) in the front yard, scans pies with a Geiger counter, and recruits neighborhood kids for paramilitary drills. Add in Sean’s chaotic brother-in-law Tommy—an “inventor” whose projects are as disastrous as they are enthusiastic—and suddenly the quiet cul-de-sac is ground zero for paranoia, improvised gadgets, and a looming neighborhood meltdown.

There Goes The Neighborhood is a sharp-witted suburban satire about control, chaos, and the absurd lengths people go to protect their little slice of the American dream. Fans of Tom Perrotta and Carl Hiaasen will feel right at home—until the HOA calls a special meeting.

Currently being shopped to literary agents, this novel is poised to find its publishing home soon.
